Ingredients
2 tbsp Vegetable oil

1 lb Lean ground beef

1 cup Chopped onion

1 cup Chopped green bell pepper

1 cup Uncooked rice

2 tsp Chili powder

1 1/2 cup Water

1 tsp Seasoned salt

1/2 tsp Ground cumin

1/2 tsp Ground black pepper

1 can (8-oz) tomato sauce

1 can (14.5-oz) whole tomatoes, drained and chopped

Preparation
In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the beef, onion, and green pepper, cooking until the meat is browned: drain liquid. Stir in remaining ingredients: reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes or until rice is tender.

Note: For a lighter touch, substitute ground turkey or veal for the beef.
